This applies to snow jackets, snow pants, bib pants, shell jackets, 3L technical shells, and similar outerwear products.
After Use
After a day on snow or outdoor use, hang the garment in a cool, well ventilated place and allow it to dry naturally.
Do not leave damp garments inside bags, cars, luggage, or enclosed spaces for extended periods. This may cause odor, mildew, or changes to the fabric surface.
For light dirt, snow residue, or surface marks, gently wipe the area with a damp cloth. Areas that come into contact with skin, such as collars, cuffs, and hems, should be cleaned regularly to remove oil and sweat buildup.
Washing
When a full wash is needed, use a cleaner designed for outdoor technical fabrics.
Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or strong alkaline detergent.
Wash separately or with similar technical garments. Before washing, close all zippers, fasten all hook and loop closures, loosen drawcords, and turn the garment inside out or place it in a laundry bag.
Use a gentle cycle with cool or warm water, according to the care label. If the care label allows, use a low spin setting. If detergent residue remains after washing, run an additional rinse cycle.
Drying
After washing, air dry the garment in a cool, well ventilated place.
If the care label allows, low temperature tumble drying may help reactivate the surface DWR water repellent finish.
Do not tumble dry on high heat.
Do not iron directly over seam tape, prints, reflective areas, logos, or RECCO® equipped areas.
Restoring Water Repellency
The water repellent finish on technical outerwear will gradually wear down with use, friction, and washing.
When water no longer beads on the surface and starts to soak into the outer fabric, the DWR finish may need to be restored.
After cleaning and fully drying the garment, you may use a water repellent treatment suitable for waterproof breathable fabrics. Always follow the instructions on both the garment care label and the care product.
Avoid coating products that are not designed for breathable technical fabrics, as they may reduce breathability.
